Classification of Valves Application
Although valves are often classified according to their functions, they are sometimes classified according to application. The use of three categories: general valve, the valve is designed for multiple uses, it can be applied to a large number of operations without modification; the special condition of the valve, the sanitary ball valve is designed for special purposes; serious conditions for highly valve, designed to avoid side operation with difficulty.
General operating valve
The general condition of the valve are those most common operation design of the valve, its rated pressure is low, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) level 150 to level 600, medium temperature rating in -50 ~ 650 (-46 ~ 343 C), non corrosive media and ordinary pressure drop without causing cavitation and flash. The design of the general working condition valve has a certain degree of interchangeability and adaptability so that they can be used in a wide range of operating conditions. Body material is defined as carbon steel and stainless steel.
Special operating valve
The special operating valve is a valve that is custom made, and it is designed for a single application other than normal process operation. Because of its unique design and manufacture, it can only operate in the specific conditions of the parameters and operating conditions. The valve is usually used to handle a desired temperature, pressure, or in a corrosive medium.
